Of course! Through our website www.tourduals.nl you can register for the 11th edition of Tour du ALS on Thursday 8 June 2023. You can register as an individual or team, or join an existing team. ALS patients can of course register free of charge. We look forward to meet!

 Yes, this is certainly possible. When you register you can choose the option 'Register as a team'. A team has no limit on the number of team members. Team members can sign up on the team page you create. 

Yes, this is certainly possible. When you register you can choose the option 'running' or 'walking'. As a runner or walker you will conquer Mont Ventoux once. Once at the top, a shuttle bus provides a safe ride down for all runners and walkers. 

Yes, of course! We offer participants and other parties involved numerous promotional materials to bring Tour du ALS to the attention of as many people as possible. On our website you will find social media banners, stickers and posters. We will provide more promotional materials during the campaign. All materials are offered free of charge at: https://www.tourduals.nl/promotiematerialen.

When you donate money to a good cause, you can save tax by applying tax rules. It is best to contact your tax advisor or accountant. Keep the bank statement as proof for the tax authorities.

On each participant/team page you can click on the 'Donate now' button to make a direct donation via a payment module. You can choose the amount yourself (starting from 5 euros), as well as adding a personal message. After completion, your gift will immediately appear under the 'Donors' tab of the participant/team. 

Every now and then we have to deal with a malfunction on the line, caused by iDEAL itself or by the various banks to which people are linked on. So it can happen that you have to deal with one or the other and in the worst case with both. On the webpage www.allestoringen.nl, you will find an up-to-date overview of bank disruptions, including iDEAL. If your bank is listed, no transaction can take place at that time. The advice is then to try again at a later time, when the bank malfunction and/or iDEAL malfunction has been resolved. It is very important that you have to go through the entire process to actually make placement possible. Has your gift been debited, but not visible on the platform?  You can raise the minimum target amount (€1,500) until June 30, 2022. 

It is certainly an option to place your own sponsors (companies and/or individuals) on the back of the Tour du ALS outfit (see green box in the image below). You could also, for example, place the team name in an specific space of the shirt. Give your sponsor(s) the visibility they deserve and therefore keep a maximum number of approx. 8/10 logos in to not overdo it.  Promote the sponsor on the best space of the shirt, who has made a real contribution to you or your team by achieving your target amount. Use this great opportunity to promote but keep it actually valuable for your sponsor(s). 

After receiving the uniform, logos can be added by participants/teams themselves at a printer of your choice and at your own expense. 

After making a donation through this site you will receive an automatic thank you email. This email also contains a proof of payment that you can use for the company's administration. 

If this is not desirable, please send all company details including contact person, Chamber of Commerce number, e-mail address and contribution to info@tourduals.nl. Proof of the gift will then be sent to the email address via email. 

The counter readings on this website are based on donations received. Not included in the counter readings is money received from registration fees, payments for webshop items and contributions to transaction costs. These transaction costs are also not excluded from the counter readings.

If you have registered with a team, the captain of the team will receive an email about this. 

The entry fee is €130 per person. The entry fee pays for the Tour du ALS outfit that each participant receives. The facilities during Tour du ALS are also paid for with the registration fee of participants, such as road closures, first aid posts, sanitary facilities and guidance of participants on the mountain. 

 Each participant raises a minimum of € 1,500 or a multiple thereof with no upper limit. If you register as a team, the target amount to be contributed is the number of team members x € 1,500 (example: for a team of 5 members, the team target amount is € 7,500 in total).

In the run-up to the event, the organization checks whether the set goals are being achieved. If a team or individual participant is unable to reach the target amount, we will contact you and give advice on how to raise the amount. Only in a few cases the amount is not reached. We will then examine on a case-by-case basis whether participation is possible. 

See regulations point 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. Of course, the organization can always be approached for inspiration on how to raise the target amount. 

Prior to Tour du ALS, we offer all participants the opportunity to purchase specific sportswear. There is opportunity to do this during the participants' meeting in the spring of 2023. Items can also be purchased in the Tour du ALS webshop and in the shop at Village du Depart. These include gloves, socks, a wind body, a fleece jacket, a wind and rain jacket and arm and leg warmers.

The Tour du ALS materials will be presented in our webshop. 

During the participants' meeting it is possible, if in stock, to buy an extra outfit from the shop. From that moment on, sales of the new edition will start. 

Each participant first registers individual and pays 130 euros. In that registration process you can immediately join a team or start a new team. You can also register as a team member on the relevant team page. 

You can also join a team later on. All other team members also pay a 130 euro registration fee and, just like you, receive the Tour du ALS cycling, running or walking kit worth 100 euros.

(In reserve of changes) The uniforms will be handed out at the participants' meeting. The date of this will be determined later. 

There are sufficient supply stations and toilets along the route for cyclists, walkers and runners.

In the Strava app you will find Tour du ALS under groups and clubs.

The shuttle buses are primarily used for the participants and patients. They have ten times priority. If there is enough availability, supporters can also certainly make the commitment to the top use. 

Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and it has an arbitrary character, especially around Mont Ventoux. We will maintain daily contact with the Kale Berg weather station. 

If the weather starts to play tricks on us on the day itself and the top cannot be reached, we will start on the alternative route. This means that we will see how far we can climb and descend safely. The challenges will then be:​ 

Challenge 1: Malaucène - Chalet Liotard - Malaucène​ 

Challenge  2: Malaucène - Bédoin – Chalet Reynard – Bédoin – Malaucène – Chalet Liotard - Malaucène​ 

Challenge 3: Malaucène - Bédoin – Chalet Reynard – Sault – Chalet Reynard  – Bedoin – Malaucène – Chalet Liotard – Malaucène​ 

​The alternative route is facilitated under the name Tour du ALS with all the organization around it. The decision, whether the alternative route should be driven, will be taken on Thursday 9 June around 05:00. Through social media and a text message we will give notice to all participants.​ 

If the weather is so bad that as an organization we cannot meet the safety requirements, we have no choice other than to cancel the event. No matter how much we agree that is unfortunate. We understand that everyone has put a lot of effort into all the preparations and has really looked forward to the event. That is why we only take this decision if the safety of the participants is at stake, as we - as an organization - are ultimately responsible for that. In this case, everyone is free (entirely at their own risk!) to cycle anyway. NB! there is no facilitation by the organization of Tour du ALS.​ 

Hikers receive an official Tour du ALS shirt. During the ascent there are additional supply stations for hikers with snacks and water. There are also toilets for walkers along the way. 

 No, the arm and leg warmers are neutral or black with logo. See the webshop. 

There is no option to park at the top of Mont Ventoux. It is also strongly discouraged to go up the mountain by car. The shuttle service can be used to get to Liotard and the summit. However, long waiting times for supporters can arise because participants and patients have priority over the use of the shuttle bus. 

Due to the large number of cyclists, hikers and runners, it is so busy on the mountain during the day that it is strongly discouraged to go up with your own transport! The local police will also monitor this. Safety of all participants is paramount that day. Village du Départ is easily accessible and there is ample parking. We advise to park there and go up with an available shuttle bus. Our shuttle buses are allowed to be on the course, but patients/participants always have priority. 

Thanks to all volunteers of Tour du ALS, it is possible that hundreds of participants and ALS patients can conquer Mont Ventoux. We will also use volunteers again for Tour du ALS 2023. We are busy behind the scenes inventorying how many volunteers are needed. Registration will open as soon as this is known. We will share this via our website, social channels and via the team leaders.
